
Face-to-Face Meeting with Overseas Deans
On September 25,the Overseas Deans and Visiting Professors Meeting took place with success, bringing together leaders and scholars from medical and nursing schools across eight countries and regions — including Australia, Spain, Nepal, the US, the UK, Singapore and Hong Kong of China.The meeting was presided over by Professor Fengying Zhang, the Vice Dean of the School of Nursing at West China School of Medicine, Sichuan University.
Professor Ka Li, Dean of the School of Nursing at West China College of Clinical Medicine, Sichuan University, warmly welcomes the presidents and visiting professors of foreign universities. She hopes that the presidents and visiting professors of overseas institutions will explore effective paths for talent cultivation, curriculum development, scientific research, and international scientific cooperation around the construction of nursing disciplines, and make positive contributions to the development of global nursing and global health.

Cline, Vice Dean of the School of Nursing at Pacific Lutheran University; Professor Wladyslawa Czuber-Dochan from the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care at King’s College London; Professor Chien Wai Tong, Dean of the Nethersole School of Nursing at The Chinese University of Hong Kong; Professor Chia-Chin Lin, Dean of the School of Nursing at The University of Hong Kong; Professor Honggu He from the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore; and Professor Lily Dongxia Xiao from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Flinders University engaged in in-depth discussions on high-quality talent cultivation, collaborative scientific research and global contributions to nursing, joint student training and faculty exchange, as well as the co-development of international courses and related initiatives.Cai Junjun, Section Chief of the International Office of West China School of Medicine/ West China Hospital, Sichuan University, stated that continuous efforts will be made to help deepen cooperation between School of Nursing and overseas high level institutions in talent cultivation and scientific research, thereby injecting renewed international momentum into the development of nursing discipline.
The successful convening of the Overseas Deans and Visiting Professors Meeting has established a strong foundation for deepening collaboration and fostering mutual development between the West China School of Nursing of Sichuan University and its overseas counterparts.
