On July 6, 2023, 2022 China Medical College/Hospital Science Hospital Science and Technology Evaluation Metrics (STEM) and 5-year Accumulative Science and Technology Evaluation Metrics(ASTEM) ranking for 2018-2022 were released officially. West China Hospital, Sichuan University has stayed at the top of the overall ranking for consecutive 10 years, and 6 disciplines stayed at the top position. Nursing Discipline of our school ranked first on STEM. So far, Nursing Discipline of our school has stayed at the top of STEM for consecutive 7 years.
STEM takes quality, performance and contribution of technological innovation as the core, focuses on the whole process of scientific research, conducts an omnibearing evaluation from scientific and technological output, academic influence, and scientific and technological conditions, so as to comprehensively reflect the technological innovation capabilities of medical schools and hospitals. STEM for 2022 and 5-year ASTEM for 2018-2022 was combined to reflect the timeliness and continuity of the evaluation, and to jointly guide and promote technological innovation and development.
