On September 22, the 5th West China International Nursing Conference organized by West China School of Nursing, Sichuan University kicked off in broadcasting the conference video "Lasting charms and Together for a Bright Future ". With the theme of " Gather wisdom for Precision Nursing,Build discipline Peak, Promote global Health", the conference was attended by more than 100 guests and 1000 nursing teachers and students from over 50 universities/institutions in 10 countries at home and abroad.
On behalf of Sichuan University, Academician Xu Weilin, Executive Vice President of Sichuan University, warmly welcomed the leaders, guests and representatives from home and abroad attending the conference.He emphasized that this year is the key year for the university to accelerate the new round of "Double-First Class" Construction. As a peak discipline of Sichuan University's key construction, the nursing discipline is focusing on the goal of building a world-class discipline and starting the construction of "precision nursing for life -cycle health and disease".He expressed his hope that all nursing colleagues of Sichuan University could take the opportunity of this international conference to gather wisdom with experts and scholars at home and abroad on precision nursing, condense development ideas, so as to accelerate the realization of the great goal of "building the discipline peak and promoting global health".
Director Lei Chaozi of the Department of Science, Technology and Information Technology of the Ministry of Education delivered an important speech. He emphasized that the Report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that people's health is an important symbol of national prosperity and national prosperity,and the protection of people's health should be placed in the strategic position of priority development. Nursing, as an important part of medical and health services, plays an increasingly prominent role in the construction of Healthy China. She pointed out that Chinese nurses are committed to promoting the multidisciplinary integration of nursing disciplines, improving the comprehensive practical ability and scientific research level of nursing, actively carrying out international academic exchanges and cooperation, and absorbing international advanced nursing concepts and technologies. Professor Shang Shao-mei, chairman of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Nursing Major in Higher Education Institution of the Ministry of Education, convener of the Nursing Sub-Committee of the National Teaching Guidance Committee for Postgraduate Education in Medical Professional Degree, and Dean of School of Nursing, Peking University, firstly affirmed the outstanding achievements in nursing higher education and talent training of West China School of Nursing in recent years. She hoped that West China School of Nursing, in collaboration with nursing colleges and universities across the country, would deepen the reform of nursing education, promote the development of nursing disciplines, strengthen the construction of a first-class discipline education system, give full play to the leading role of first-class discipline, and make positive contributions to the promotion of human health.
