Recently, The international higher education consultancy firm QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) released World University Rankings by Subject 2024, and Sichuan University Nursing entered the top 100 globally for the first time.

QS World University Rankings by Subject, along with THE World University Rankings by Subject, U.S. News & World Report Global Best Discipline Rankings, and Global Ranking of Academic Subjects are recognized as the four most authoritative world university discipline rankings. On QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024, a total of 1559 universities were listed and 55 disciplines were covered. The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024 is based on four indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per paper and H-index citations. The first two indicators were used to evaluate the international reputation of the institution in various fields, and the last two were to assess the research impact based on Scopus Data of Elsevier.
