On October 15, the higher education evaluation agency Ranking officially released the "The 2025 Best Chinese Subjects Ranking". Nursing Discipline of Sichuan University ranked first in this ranking, making it six consecutive years at the top since 2020 and maintaining its position as a top Chinese discipline.

The 2025 Best Chinese  Subjects Ranking includes 98 first-level disciplines and 5 professional degree categories, with a total of 5,344 academic programs from 517 universities. The indicator system for Ranking's Best Chinese Subjects Ranking (first-level disciplines) comprises five indicator categories: talent cultivation, platform projects, achievements and awards, academic papers, and high-caliber talents. These are further divided into 19 specific indicators, encompassing over 200 observable variables that reflect the competitiveness of the disciplines. All data used in Chinese Best Subjects Ranking are sourced from third-party providers, such as the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and international and domestic literature databases.
