On November 18, 2025, the higher education evaluation agency Shanghai Ranking officially released the 2025 Global of Academic Subjects. In this ranking, Nursing Discipline of Sichuan University ranked 46th globally.

The 2025 ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) encompasses 57 disciplines across five major fields: Natural Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Social Sciences. The ranking is based on an evaluation of over 3,000 universities worldwide, and the published list features nearly 20,000 discipline entries from more than 2,000 universities in 92 countries and regions. The indicator system includes five modules: "World-Class Faculty", "World-Class Research Output", "High-Quality Research Results", "Research Influence" and "International Collaboration", which are further divided into nine objective indicators reflecting the global competitiveness of the disciplines.
