The speech of the “Enhance Discipline Strength and Promote Nursing Development” series was held on April 22nd. Prof. Wipada Kunaviktikul, the Professor at Panyapiwat Institute of Management in Thailand, Professor Emeritus from the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University, and the Guest Professor of West China School of Nursing, Sichuan University, gave us a wonderful speech titled on “Research in Health System and Policy”.
Prof. Wipada Kunaviktikul is the Head of the WHO Collaborating Center for Nursing and Midwifery Development, the Director of Nursing Policy and Outcome Center. She has more than 20 years of research experience, specifically in the areas of nursing administration, policy, health care systems and quality of care. She has published many high impact articles in domestic and international journals, and served as speaker at national and international conferences in the areas of health promotion, nursing education, nursing research, partnership, leadership and management. She has received numerous awards, and has been a host of more than 10 international conferences, 50 international training programs and several domestic conferences in Thailand.
The lecture was adopted a combination of online and offline methods, attracting more than 200 teachers and students to actively participate. Prof. Wipada Kunaviktikul shared her research experience and gave us examples on nursing research on health system and policy. The postgraduate students of our school conducted in-depth exchanges with Prof. Wipada Kunaviktikul on how to conduct scientific research on health policy and its implication.
“Enhance Discipline Strength and Promote Nursing Development” Lecture Series promote the domestic and international academic communication on nursing and interdisciplinary research. It is an important channel to expand the vision of nursing teachers and students. Our school will continuously invite experts from all over the world to carry out in-depth thinking and communication, and contribute to the construction and development of nursing discipline.
