"Nursing Virtual Simulation Experiment of COVID-19 Prevention and Control" project developed by West China School of Nursing, Sichuan University has been recently launched on the National Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Course Sharing Platform. This project aims for hospital and home prevention and control of COVID-19, and builds highly simulated virtual hospitals and wards through 3D simulation technology to reproduce clinical and home scenes of COVID-19 prevention and control. Based on the Internet platform, the project realizes an "immersive, authentic and scalable" teaching environment and break through the limitation of time and space. Through the comprehensive use of diverse teaching methods such as case interaction and scenario simulation, learners can master COVID-19 prevention and control technologies such as pre-examination and triage, fever clinic diagnosis, ward isolation treatment, and home quarantine, so as to improve the prevention and control capacity of COVID-19.
The project has good applicability to medical students, clinical staff, and the public. Since launched on the official website of West China School of Nursing, Sichuan University in April 2020, it has been well acknowledged and has received positive feedbacks. In order to jointly fight COVID-19 and protect people's health, medical students, clinical staff and the public are welcome to use the course platform.
