2024 International Nurses’Day Commemorative Activity & “Gather wisdom for Nursing Discipline Build World Class Together” Academic Forum was successfully held at the Houde Building in Huaxi Campus of Sichuan University. Dean Luo Fengming of West China School of Medicine/ West China Hospital of Sichuan University, International Office / HK,MC and TW Office and other relevant functional departments of Sichuan University attended the forum. The forum specially invited deans, experts and scholars of nursing school from National University of Singapore, The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau，and more than 500 representatives of nursing teachers and students attended the forum.
Dean Luo Fengming extended his regards to all nursing teachers and students on this special day. He introduced the long history and development status of West China School of Medicine/West China Hospital and recognized the significant role played by the West China nursing discipline. He hoped that nursing teachers and students would seize the opportunity of "building a world-class discipline", uphold the principle of "inclusiveness, mutual promotion and common development", strengthen high-quality cooperation both abroad and outside the border, jointly build a world-class discipline, and make contributions to promoting a global community of health for all.
Professor Yin Lei, Honorary Advisor of the Alumni Association of West China School of Nursing at Sichuan University and President of the Macau Nursing Education Association, offered her heartfelt congratulations on the holding of the forum. She looked back the history of the development of West China School of Nursing , spoke the deep emotion between an alumnus and her alma mater, and hoped that teachers and students of West China Nursing would gather strength for the development of the discipline and actively contribute to the alma mater through practical actions.
