On December 21st, the Moscow City Health Department  Delegation of Russia including Deputy Director Eremova Elena of Moscow City Health Department, President Gekkieva Anzhela of Medical College No.1 and President Alekperova Olga of Medical College No.2 of Moscow City Health Department, and Consultant Sergey Krivets of Moscow International Cooperation Center of Moscow City Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations, accompanied by Consultant Xiao Xinxing from the Asia-Africa Division of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of Chengdu Municipal Committee, visited our school. Professor Wang Kunjie, Vice President of West China School of Medicine/ West China Hospital, Sichuan University, Professor Wei Xiawei, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Office, nursing teacher representatives of School of Nursing and  affiliated hospitals attended the meeting. The meeting was moderated by Professor Li Ka, Dean of West China School of Nursing, Sichuan University.

Vice President Wang Kunjie warmly welcomed Moscow City Health Department Delegation from Russia. He introduced  the history, talent cultivation system and development of disciplinary construction of West China Hospital in recent years, expressed that both sides are committed to cultivating high-level medical talents and hope that we could building long-term cooperation in discipline construction, clinical practice, public health service and other aspects, and work together to promote the development of medical and health education between both sides.

Deputy Director Eremova Elena of Moscow City Health Department introduced the basic information of medical and nursing talents cultivation in Moscow. She expressed Moscow City Health Department Delegation’s intention to cooperate with West China Medicine of Sichuan University, and they would prefer to further exchange and organize the cooperation plan with West China School of Nursing on nursing innovation and high-level talents cultivation.

Subsequently, both sides discussed cooperation in the fields of teachers visits, students exchange, joint cultivation and scientific research in depth and reached a consensus on the development of the cooperation agreement framework.

After the meeting, Moscow City Health Department Delegation of Russia visited the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of West China School of Medicine/West China Hospital, Sichuan University.

The visit of Moscow City Health Department Delegation of Russia promoted mutual understand and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.
