

On the afternoon of September 27, "Bond of Alma Mater, Pursuit of Excellence"The Third Alumni Forum Successfully Held at the 6th West China International Nursing Conference.Over 700 alumni from more than 100 medical and nursing schools, medical institutions, enterprises and public institutions attended the conference.

Professor Li Zhengchi, Deputy Party Secretary of Sichuan University, on behalf of the university and the Sichuan University Alumni Association, extended warm greetings and heartfelt gratitude to all domestic and international alumni. He emphasized that alumni are not only witnesses and participants in the university’s history but also inheritors and promoters of its spirit, as well as key drivers of its development. He expressed the hope that alumni would frequently return to their alma mater, continue to support its growth, and engage in broader and deeper collaboration with the university. With strong emotional ties and shared dedication to Sichuan University and West China School of Nursing, he called on all alumni to unite in purpose and pool their strengths, working together to advance the university toward excellence and accelerate its rise as a world-class institution with Chinese characteristics.

Ms. Marion Alfretta Walker, granddaughter of Mr. Kilborn, the founder of West China medical education, also recorded a special video to celebrate the 110th anniversary of West China nursing education.The West China Overseas Alumni Association of Sichuan University, together with its Macao, Beijing, Shanxi, Yangtze River Delta, and Henan alumni chapters, sent congratulatory letters to mark the occasion.
