

On the afternoon of September 26, the “New Era of Health” Strategic Development Forum of the 6th West China International Nursing Conference, was successfully held under the theme “Intelligent Nursing, Interdisciplinary Integration, Empowering Health.” The forum brought together experts and scholars from more than 400 medical and nursing institutions across over 10 countries—including the UK, the US, Australia, Singapore, Finland, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Kenya, Japan, New Zealand, Thailand, Rwanda, and Pakistan—along with participants from China’s Hong Kong and Macao SARs.
Launch Ceremony of the Nursing Book Series with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era

Professor Cheng Yongzhong, Party Secretary of West China School of Medicine/West China Hospital of Sichuan University, stated in his address at the launch ceremony:"On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of West China School of Nursing, Sichuan University, experts from across the field have gathered to witness the launch of the ‘Nursing Book Series with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era.’ In the process of building a modern socialist powerhouse, the West China School of Nursing has taken the lead in exploring the establishment of a system for cultivating virtue and nurturing talent in nursing science with Chinese characteristics for the new era. The collaboration with Xinhua Winshare to compile the ‘Nursing Book Series with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era’ continues our longstanding partnership. I hope both sides will work diligently to contribute to the theoretical development of nursing science with Chinese characteristics, carry forward the Chinese cultural heritage, and provide wisdom and strength for cultivating medical talent with both moral integrity and professional competence, while also promoting the health and well-being of the entire population."

Mr. Zhou Qing, Party Secretary and Chairman of Sichuann Xinhua Pulishing and Distribution Group, extended warm congratulations on the publication of the series. He emphasized that the “Nursing Book Series with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era,” jointly launched by Xinhua Winshare and West China School of Nursing, is not only a proactive effort to advance the theoretical development of nursing science with Chinese characteristics, but also a practical initiative aimed at innovating and transforming nursing theories. He noted that Xinhua Winshare will help nurture the intellectual foundation for cultivating nursing talent and contribute nursing wisdom to the “Healthy China” initiative. Zhou expressed his hope to deepen collaboration through further exploration and expansion into broader fields, working together to achieve even more fruitful outcomes.
