On June 2nd, the German Delegation led by Professor Arne Manzeschke of Lutheran University of Applied Sciences Nuremberg visited our school. Professor Li Ka, Member of the Party Committee and Dean of the School of Nursing, West China School of Medicine, Sichuan University, representatives of International Office and School of Nursing attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Dean Li Ka extended a warm welcome to Professor Arne Manzeschke and the delegation, and introduced the history, faculty, academic feature and research platform of School of Nursing. Professor Arne Manzeschke introduced the educational characteristics and disciplinary structure of Lutheran University of Applied Sciences Nuremberg, and shared local nursing development, industrial policies and research outcomes of nursing ethics. President Rita Zöllner of the Bavarian Nursing Association, and Natalie Öhl from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg also shared the current state of nursing development, cultivation models of nursing talents,as well as research outcomes and practical experences of smart nutsing in Germany.

Both sides had in-depth discussions on frontier topics including nursing education, digital nursing, nursing ethics research and nursing robots, reached an initial consensus on cooperation and will subsequently promote programs including exchanges between faculty and students, joint academic seminars, and transnational research collaboration.

This exchange has further broadened the path for international development of nursing discipline, strengthened the foundation for long-term friendly cooperation between China and Germany, and is of great significance for continuously enhancing the discipline's international influence, cultivating internationally oriented nursing talents, and promoting the high-quality development of nursing discipline.
