On June 16th2026, a delegation led by Liu Jianghua and Liu Yuanhang, Vice Deans of the School of Nursing at Guangxi Medical University, visited West China School of Nursing for a discussion and exchange. Representatives from the School and its teaching and research staff attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Zhang Fengying, Vice Dean of West China School of Nursing, Sichuan University, extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation led by Vice Deans Liu Jianghua and Liu Yuanhang and presented an overview of the School. Liu Jianghua, Vice Dean of the School of Nursing at Guangxi Medical University, introduced the School’s profile, curriculum development, and approaches to student development, among other topics. The two sides held in-depth discussions on integrating Party building with institutional development, empowering higher nursing education through digital and intelligent technologies, integrating ideological and political education into the curriculum, developing degree programs, and internationalizing education.
Drawing on the educational strengths of both institutions and focusing on the high-quality development of the nursing discipline, the exchange identified specific areas of alignment and priority directions for collaboration. The meeting also served as an opportunity to deepen interregional collaboration and promote the complementary use of resources, with a view to advancing the high-quality development of nursing education and the nursing discipline in the new era.
