West China School of Nursing, Sichuan University, recently welcomed more than 120 students and their accompanying teachers from Xinjin High School for an exchange visit. The event also included undergraduate admissions consultations, encouraging outstanding students to apply to the School’s nursing program and supporting West China’s commitment to educating outstanding healthcare professionals.

During the event, Song Xiaohong, a student from the inaugural 2021 cohort of the dual bachelor’s degree program in nursing and management, shared her experiences of studying and personal growth at West China School of Nursing, Sichuan University. She highlighted the School’s outstanding faculty, welcoming learning environment, and international exchange opportunities, and answered questions from the visiting students.

Cui Jinbo, Head of the School’s Academic Affairs Office, provided a comprehensive overview of nursing at West China, covering its historical development, education, research, international cooperation and exchange, and academic reputation. During the interactive session, students enthusiastically competed to answer questions about nursing at West China, deepening their understanding and reinforcing what they had learned.

The visit strengthened ties between the School and the students and teachers of Xinjin High School, promoted closer collaboration in student education, exchanges, and cooperation, and laid a solid foundation for attracting outstanding applicants in the future.
